Today is my first day off! I'm going to have high-tea with my nanny, and this mini & very girly babydoll dress is what I'm wearing.

Event: Supertrash store opening

Yesterday evening I went to the opening of the Supertrash store in Amsterdam. It was extremely crowded! The store looked - for as far as I could see - really good and I will definitely go back there in the next couple of days to check out the collection. Also, it was really nice to meet some other bloggers for the first time. Because it was so crowded it wasn't really possible to take decent pictures, but I'll show you some anyway. 

Outfit: oversized sweater dress

 

This is probably the most comfortable dress I own (actually it's a shirt, size XL) It's really soft, it falls loosely around my body and it's got a huge pocket up front. Also I love the ribbon that's wrapped around it. Usually there's a pretty bow in the back but I was in a hurry so it's not that pretty on the pictures.

And again, I have to study all day so I'm wearing a comfortable outfit. The see-through blouse is one of the many hidden treasures I found at the 'IJhallen'.

It's sunday and it's sunny! I have to study all day and I don't feel to well but the weather makes me happy. This is the first time I didn't use selftimer for my outfit photo's, instead I asked my boyfriend to make the pictures. What do you think of the result?

I'm spending my whole weekend in the university's library because I have important exams coming up. Obviously there are nicer ways to spend a weekend, but to make it a little bit more fun I dressed up. I'm wearing my lace birthdaydress and my highest heels!

Last years new years eve was kind of strange but this year made up for it. First I had a little romantic dinner with my boyfriend, then we went to his friends. Although I'm not a huge fan of firework, one of his friend spend hundreds of euro's on it and it was beautiful. After that we went to a party of one of my best friends Tess, it was her birthday too. We went home in the morning, went to bed to rest for a few hours and then woke up at 12:00 because we had to get ready for the next party; 24 hour party people in studio 80. At 01:00 (jan. 2th), after hours and hours of dancing, I was so tired and finally went home. It was the best new years eve in years :)

 

Tip: IJhallen for second hand shopping

A wardrobe with many more clothes than you need, half of which you never even wear anymore, but still you save all of it because 'you might just wear it again someday' or 'now you don't like it but maybe you will like it again next year'. Sounds familiar?

I've been saving all of my clothes for years and years for several reasons that make no sense at all (for example: a hotpink flared - butt ugly - pants that doens't even fit right. But... maybe it will someday?) When two friends of mine told me they rented a stall at the IJhallen I joined them.

The IJhallen is a monthly flea market with over 500 stalls. Everybody sells different stuff but at least half of the stalls sell clothes. Renting a stall only costs 17 euro's and the stall you get is really big. I sorted out all of my clothes - it took me about 5 hours - and I ended up with three suitcases full of clothes to sell. After the long day I sold the majority of it and I donated the leftovers to charity. Result: I made €150,00 and I now have a closet with just the clothes I really wear and space for new items. Also, me and my girlfriends had a really good time together selling our stuff while drinking hot chocolat and eating pancakes!

As you might understand the IJhallen is also my favourite place for second hand shopping. Massive amounts of clothes for just a few euro's a piece. The next edition is this weekend, make sure you come early to find hidden vintage treasures!

Personal: it's my birthday!

 

 On december 17th I turned 21, and so did my best friend Jara. We celebrated it together in studio 80 (a club on rembrandtplein in Amsterdam). I couldn't have wished for a better birthday! All our friends were there and we drank, laughed and danced all night long. And although you can't really see it in the pictures, this is what I was wearing: a lace dress and red heels. About a week ago I went to Almere. I had never been there before and I was not expecting a lot of it, nor was I really excited to go there. However, when I got there I saw a vintage store. Little, I thought. When I went in, it appeared to be a two-floored vintage store! All the clothes on the top floor were '3 pieces voor €10,00'. I picked out this super happy and really warm knitted cardigan, a black fake fur coat and a cape (to wear as a coat). I was in a hurry unfortunately , I did not have the time to go through all the clothes. When I visit my friends in Almere again in a few weeks I will definitely visit this store again.

Well, this is awkward. This is my first blogpost and I'm at lost for words. Let's skip the introduction. Last week I was visiting my boyfriend in Stockholm. This picture was taken at the beautiful Drottningholm Palace.
